Races and events

Your race sits above everything else in the plan. Adding it tells your coach what it is building towards and how long it has.

Adding one

Tap the plus on Home or Agenda and choose Add event. Pick the competition, then fill in the detail: the date, your division and format, your experience, whether you are chasing a time or aiming to finish, and how hard you want to commit.

None of it has to be perfect. The screen says so, and you can edit all of it later.

HYROX is the only competition you can pick at the moment. The others are shown so you know what is coming, and are marked as such.

Without a date

Tick Date not decided yet if you know what you are training for but not when. Your race then shows as TBD everywhere, and your coach writes race-specific training without building towards a peak.

Set the date when you know it and the run-in gets planned properly.

Managing it

Open your race from Home or Agenda, or from Manage events. The page shows the countdown, all the detail you entered, your coach's phase plan for the season, and coach confidence.

EDIT changes any of it. Editing or removing an upcoming race rebuilds your plan around the change.

Coach confidence

A daily read of how ready your coach thinks you will be, from NEEDS WORK through BUILDING, SOLID and STRONG to PEAKING. Tap it for the breakdown.

It blends how consistently you finish what is planned, whether your recent volume is enough to progress, and how much time is left. It needs about a week of logged sessions before it shows anything, and says so rather than inventing a number.

After the race

Your event archives itself the day after and moves to PAST. Open it and add your finish time, which your coach uses as a reference for what comes next.

The race day itself, opened from your plan, gets a Share chip once it is marked done. It makes a picture of the race to post or send, timed by the finish you recorded on the race day, or else by your watch.

Once one race is out of the way you can add the next. Removing a race that has already happened just tidies your history and costs nothing.

Common questions

Which races can I add?
HYROX today. The other formats are listed and marked as coming, so you can see what is on the way, but they cannot be chosen yet.
I do not know my race date yet.
Tick Date not decided yet. Your coach still writes race-specific training, it simply does not build a peak or a taper towards a date it does not have. Add the date later and it plans the run-in.
Why is there a run every week?
HYROX is eight 1 km runs between the stations, so every week holds runs on their own: one at up to three coach sessions a week, two at four or five, three at six or seven. Runs from your own sports count; a brick or a race simulation does not. Race week is left alone, and in your baseline week the running test is its run. From the build phase, at four or more coach sessions a week, your plan also holds a tempo or interval run, unless you already run twice a week yourself. If a week comes back short, one of its sessions becomes a run on the same day where one can. While an injury rules running out, none is added.
When do race simulations appear?
With a dated HYROX race, a half simulation comes every two to three weeks through the build phase, and one full run-through three to four weeks before race day. Each one replaces one of that week's sessions, never an extra. None in your first week, none in the last seven days, and none while an injury rules them out. If this is your first HYROX, the first one waits until your next training phase.
Can I have two races at once?
No. Your coach plans around one at a time, so a second has to wait until the first has passed or been removed.
My race has happened. Do I delete it?
You do not have to. It archives itself the day after and moves to PAST, where you can add your finish time. Removing a past race changes nothing in your plan.
Coach confidence shows nothing.
It needs about a week of logged sessions before it means anything. Until then the needle sits in the middle rather than guessing at a number.
