Terms of Use

Smash Coach is operated by Multipassionate, an independent studio at Duikerstraat 16C, 3582 TB Utrecht, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce / KvK 87872110, VAT NL004497791B91). You can reach us at hello@smashcoach.app. By creating an account or using Smash Coach you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the service.

Smash Coach is an AI-assisted training companion: it builds and adjusts a weekly training plan around your race goal and the other sports you keep, and answers your training questions in chat. It is software. The coaching is generated by a computer program, not written by a human coach, and no personal trainer is involved.

There are two plans. Free is a training logbook: the calendar, manual session logging, your full history, workout mode and Garmin sync, with no AI coach. Pro adds the coach itself, the generated and continuously adapted plan, and coach chat. Smash Coach is still young and features may change, be added, or be removed as we build.

You must be 18 or older to use Smash Coach. Keep your login credentials to yourself, give us accurate information, and use one account per person. You can also train as a guest without an email; guest accounts inactive for 30 days are deleted automatically, along with all their data.

Pro costs €14.99 per month, or €131.88 per year (which works out at €10.99 a month). Every price we show you includes VAT, the amount on the price tag is the amount you are charged. The current prices are always on our pricing page.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: Paddle is the seller on your invoice, appears on your bank or card statement, collects and remits any applicable sales tax or VAT, and handles billing enquiries and returns.

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly depending on the plan you chose, until you cancel. We will email you before an annual subscription renews. If we ever change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand and you can cancel before the new price applies; we will never raise the price of a period you have already paid for.

If a payment fails, your subscription enters a short retry period during which you keep access. If it still cannot be collected, the subscription ends and your account returns to the Free plan. Your training data is not deleted when that happens.

New athletes get two weeks of Pro at no cost, without entering card details. Because we never take a payment method to start it, the trial cannot roll into a paid subscription: at the end of the two weeks the AI features simply pause and your account continues on the Free plan. Nothing is charged, and there is nothing you need to remember to cancel. You only ever pay if you actively choose to subscribe.

One trial per person. We may end trials for accounts that abuse them.

You can cancel at any time, from Settings inside the app or through the billing portal linked there. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate the remainder of that period. An annual subscription never locks you in beyond the year you have paid for, and after the first year you can cancel at any time with no more than one month's notice. Deleting your account is the one exception: it cancels Pro immediately and the remainder of the period is not refunded, which is why the delete screen tells you so before you confirm.

14-day refund. If you are a consumer in the EU you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. We keep this simple: tell us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full, whether or not you have used the coach in the meantime. Email hello@smashcoach.app and we will arrange it with Paddle. This is more generous than the law requires, and it sits on top of, not instead of, your statutory rights.

Beyond those 14 days we do not routinely refund part-used periods, since you can cancel at any time and the free trial exists precisely so you can judge the product before paying. If something has genuinely gone wrong, talk to us anyway, we would rather sort it out.

Use Smash Coach for your own training. Don't use it for anything unlawful, don't try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it, don't scrape it or abuse the AI coach (including attempts to make it produce content unrelated to training), and don't resell or redistribute the service. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

Your training data is yours. You give us the permission needed to store and process it to run the service, including sending training context to our AI providers to generate your plan and, if you use voice input, turning your voice recording into text via your device's dictation or a speech-to-text provider (the recording itself is never stored), exactly as described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. You can delete your account and all its data at any time from inside the app. A small number of our staff can access your account data to operate the service (billing, support, safety, and product improvement), as set out in the privacy policy. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve Smash Coach without any obligation or compensation to you.

The Smash Coach app, brand, design, and content are owned by Multipassionate. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app; they don't transfer any ownership. HYROX® is a registered trademark of its owner; Smash Coach is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by HYROX.

Training carries inherent risk, and you train at your own responsibility, the medical section above is part of that. Smash Coach is provided as is: we work hard to make the coaching sensible, but we cannot guarantee it is error-free, uninterrupted, or right for your body on a given day.

To the extent permitted by Dutch law, Multipassionate is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for intent or deliberate recklessness, or any liability that mandatory (consumer) law does not allow us to exclude.

We may update these terms as the product evolves; for material changes we'll give you notice in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Smash Coach after that, the updated terms apply, if you don't agree with them, you can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer in the EU, you always keep the protections of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in, and you can bring disputes before your local courts.
